Compared to standard materials, you'll hear crystal clear bell-like high end, big open lows and a noticeable increase in overall sustain. Unlike natural materials such as bone and ivory, TUSQ is consistent from piece to piece. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain), throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. If you've ever had to balance the individual string volume of an under the saddle pickup with a bone or ivory saddle, you know what we are talking about.
